Run MiniTab on MAC

This term I have STAT 2080, and professor ask us to use Minitab as a supportive software to test results. Unfortunately, MiniTab doesn’t have a MAC version. I really don’t want to use Windows as my primary operating system. I tried Vmware Fusion on my MACBOOK, it runs not bad, but it is really slow, especially when the first time it is launched. Another thing bothered me a lot is the noisy, the fan keeps running extremely fast.
Finally I decided to try Crossover, this program let people like me run some program without maintain the whole virtual system. Although Minitab is not supported by the developing team, I think it may work, because mostly MiniTab is a CPU-Consuming program, it doesn’t directly touch any hardware.
The result is pretty amazing. MiniTab runs very smoothly and fast on my macbook. A few menu command doesn’t work, like tools-option, but it doesn’t affect the most important function: Analysis.
Setup procedure is simple, just download the Crossover, drag it to the Application directory, run it, then choose the Minitab windows installer and begin to setup. In the whole installation, the only thing I need to do is follow the guides, and Done.

Two advices:
I strongly suggest to make a working directory for Minitab at home document directory.
If you are a Dalhousie student, because the MiniTab need a license file to activate, please copy this file from windows system in advance, otherwise, it will be a little confusing to find the license file.
